Slotted Disc
Definition:
Type of disc brake rotor that has a series of slots or grooves across its friction surfaces. These are designed to improve the bite of the pads and break down the build up of gas and dirt that can occur between pad and rotor. High-performance rotors can be both slotted and cross-drilled.
